Westview Health Care Center was visited by The Dissipated Eight, an all-male, eleven member a cappella group from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont on Friday, February 12, 2016 for a one-of-a-kind performance.
The group has been performing nationally and internationally for over five decades; assimilating new undergraduate members upon the graduation of their current seniors.
Using only their voices as instruments, the group performed a diverse range of musical selections for the residents of Westview including: “Coney Island Baby”, “For What It’s Worth”, “Fever” and “Lean On”.
One member of the group, Harrison Shroder from Woodstock, Connecticut, took a moment between songs to express his personal gratitude to Westview’s caregivers for his grandmother’s stay at Westview.
“We’re honored to have The Dissipated Eight take time out of their busy schedule to perform for all of us here at Westview,” remarked David T. Panteleakos, Administrator. “They certainly delivered a high-caliber performance that resonated deeply with our patients, residents and staff.”
Feel free to watch a short video montage of some songs The Dissipated Eight performed at Westview below.
