Murray Meets the Westview Mark of Distinction

Crystal Murray has been named employee of the month for November at Westview Health Care Center. She is the Rehabilitation Administrative Assistant and has been employed at Westview since May 2000. This is the third time within her employment at Westview that Murray has been honored with this award by her professional peers.

Murray was recognized for her exceptional hard work and dedication in her above and beyond approach to carrying out her responsibilities. For 14 years, she has enjoyed directly caring for others and guiding them through the health care process. Her passion for helping people has led her to having a great understanding of insurance verification, authorization, billing, scheduling and case management.

“Crystal is an excellent employee, everyone loves her”, remarked Phuong Nilo. “With her positive attitude and strong work ethic, Crystal is constantly trying to improve the experience for the patient and the department each and everyday. She takes pride in her work and her role in helping others at Westview Health Care Center.

Murray received her CNA certification at Community College of Rhode Island in 1995 and began her career in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Wrentham, Massachusetts. She moved to northeast Connecticut in 2000 and started her prerequisites for nursing at Quinebaug Valley Community College.

“My goal is to make sure that our patients have everything they need in place to achieve the best outcomes”, stated Murray. “I love being a part of the Westview Therapy team and find it fulfilling to be involved in the operations of our department.”

Murray enjoys reading fiction novels by James Patterson, baking cakes for fundraisers and spending time with her husband and sons at the baseball, track and football fields. She also enjoys Country music and Classic Rock concerts, visiting museums and following Nascar racing in New Hampshire, Delaware and Tennessee.

She credits her happiness to her beautiful family and says their love and support motivates her to put her best foot forward on a daily basis.

She is a resident of Killingly and lives with her husband John and three sons Phillip, Jared and Nicholas.

Westview Health Care Center is a 103-bed skilled nursing inpatient facility, which includes a distinct and self-contained 28-bed subacute short-term rehabilitation unit and an Outpatient Rehabilitation and Aquatic Center, both dedicated to providing quality health care services.
