Volunteers Recognized at Westview

Date
November 19, 2014

In celebration of the many individuals who continually provide countless hours of their time and talents, Westview Health Care Center hosted a volunteer appreciation dinner on Thursday, November 13, 2014.

The evening offered a welcome from Administrator David T. Panteleakos, prayer and fellowship by Father Leon Susaimanickam, a special gourmet meal prepared by Westview’s own Dietary Department and a presentation by Westview’s Recreation Director Louise Taylor in recognition of each volunteer’s service and support.

In a brief address to the group of 40 volunteers David T. Panteleakos, Administrator of Westview stated, “The volunteer dinner recognizes the extraordinary individuals who foster that spirit of involvement and who give selflessly of their time, talent, energy and expertise to make Westview a better place. We are honored to celebrate this truly remarkable group of people.”

Among the volunteers being honored for their service, were committed volunteers Nancy and Art Loefstedt of Woodstock for their on-going devotion of 20 years to the residents and patients of Westview.

“We have loved the Monday morning sing-a-long, not only because it brings so much joy to the residents but they in turn brighten our lives”, stated Nancy Loefstedt. “It is an honor to work with the many volunteers who work with us to make song time both meaningful and pleasurable for everyone.”
