"Outpatient Classifieds, Volume 1" is a full-page advertisement for the Shopper's Guide/Turnpike Buyer designed to blend in with the existing format of regional advertisements that constitute the weekly publications.
Choosing to pursue this particular layout and design is thought to be a more effective way to not only grab the interest of the reader (as there are nearly a dozen separate advertisements on the page for Westview), but it also lends itself to be read thoroughly once the reader recognizes the "trick". While some of the ad's lend themselves to a bit of playful humor, it makes the experience for the reader (and the designer) to have a bit of fun.
