Special Recognition for Father LeCours

On Friday, March 3, 2007, Father Sylva P. LeCours of St. Anne's Church in Ballouville was honored by the administration, staff and residents of Westview Health Care Center in Dayville.

In addition ot celebrating Father LeCour's 60th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood, he was recognized for providing 24 years of spiritual service, dedication and commitment to the staff and residents of WEstview. Administrator David T. Panteleakos and Director of Recreation Pamel Fillmore presented Father LeCours with a beautiful clock to note his special milestones.

"Father LeCours has been a guiding light and pillar of strength for our residents and staff," said Panteleakos. "We are fortunate to count him among our close-knit Westview family and are grateful for his many years of service."

LeCours joined St.Anne's parish in Ballouville, Connecticut in 1983 and has faithfully provided monthly Catholic services and spiritual guidance to Westview since that time. He is known by his parishioners for his good humor, generosity and kind-hearted nature. Westview resident Beatrice Messier states, "I look forward to his visits every month because he lifts my spirits and provides an empowering message. We are truly blessed."

"It brings me great pleasure to bring church to the residents of Westview Health Care Center," remarked Father LeCours. "My involvement at Westview keeps me in touch with the parishioners of St. Anne's because so many of the residents who call Westview their home or just need short term placement for rehabilitation are people who live in the local area that I would see at church on a weekly basis. I have continued with Westview because of the congenial, helpful staff and wonderful people that I have developed friendships and camaraderie with. Also, I am proud to be affiliated with a facility that provides wonderful service to their patients. Westview is A-1!"
